Outreach to the community is an important part of MAB's mission. We are eager to share the beauty of ballet with our community through special performances and programs that touch audiences throughout the region, from preschoolers to seniors.

Mid-Atlantic Ballet frequently performs at community events such as Newark's Community Day.
Free performances are also held in public libraries, community centers, and schools. If you are interested in scheduling an outreach appearance for your organization or event, please contact MAB.
Almost 600 Girl Scouts from the Newark area have already earned their Dance Badge through our special program that combines tickets to our December performance at UD's Mitchell Hall with a free Dance Badge Workshop at the MAB studio in January.
This years performance of The Nutcracker has been rescheduled for January 9, 2010, at 1pm and 5pm, with the badge workshop scheduled for January 16, 2010 at 3pm. Please call MAB for more information about the workshop and group ticket sales!
Patrick's Preschool Roadshow
We understand that young children just want to get up and move! Our popular preschool outreach program meets this need while providing youngsters with an introduction to the art of ballet. Following a brief introductory performance by MAB Company members, Artistic Director Patrick Korstange models basic positions, lets the kids examine pointe shoes and costume pieces, and leads the group in creative movement games. We come to you, and best of all, it's free! To schedule a program for your school, contact MAB.
