DANCING
THROUGH TIME
This introductory program shows the evolution of dance
from the Renaissance to Hip-Hop. This program includes
a series of classroom visits by MAB Artistic Director,
Ms. Sara Taylor Warner, and an in-school performance by
the Mid-Atlantic Ballet Company. A comprehensive, standards-based
study guide, "Steps in Time," accompanies this program.
ALL
ABOUT BALLET
Building on the groundwork of "Dancing Through Time,"
this program reveals what the life of a professional dancer
is really
like, and further demonstrates the many different styles
of dance.
STYLES
THAT SIMPLY DANCE
Both of the previous programs are incorporated into this
more advanced program which follows the history of dance
and how it was influenced by culture, society, economics
and technology.
PUNT,
PASS, POINTE, PIROUETTE!
Even the most disinterested students are intrigued by
this program which shows the many similarities shared
by dance and sports and that dancers are athletes, too!
DANCER-IN-RESIDENCE
Schools may host a dancer/teacher/choreographer for short-term
or long-term residencies. Each residency is customized for
the particular needs and goals of the host school.
